Love this city

Yesterday I was working on one of my favorite places in Rotterdam: The historical harbour 'Veerhaven' ( Ferry Harbour). This place is situated in the Scheepvaartkwartier (Maritime Quarter), on the north bank of Nieuwe Maas river. From here you can see the beautiful skyline of Rotterdam! Around 1900 it was the centre of shipping and international trading. Nowadays it is a lovely area with merchants houses and nice shops and restaurants.

Must visits

Restaurant La Stanza
Looking at it from the outside, one would hardly expect to find one of Rotterdam's finest restaurant gardens behind this stately facade. During the summer it is lovely eating outside on a terrace with the charm of a piazza and the beauty of a garden.

Cafe restaurant Loos
Loos is located with a great view on Veerhaven and the beautiful Parklaan. The furniture and design breathes a Parisian atmosphere. Loos is both a café as well as a restaurant. You can visit for a cup of coffee, a quick or extensive lunch, a drink or a culinary dinner.

Z&M is a French oriented biological store with a restaurant and a cosy terrace. The lively restaurant has a beautiful view over Veerhaven.

Restaurant Zeezout
Enjoy the best fish in a beautiful part of Rotterdam.

A cute little bakery. Beside the madeleines, there are also a very large choice of types of bread (Dutch and French sort), croissants, various sort of cakes etc…
