Maastricht is a lovely city! Perfect for a weekend get away. It's only a 2 hours drive from Rotterdam but a totally different world. I always have the feeling of being abroad when I’m there. Last week we stayed in Hotel Beaumont in the Wijck district. We did some shopping, celebrated Queensday and on the way back we drove through the countryside and visited an American cemetry in Margraten. A very beautiful and impressive place!
And of course we bought some delicious asparagus! Mmm...
